I haven't posted for a few days, but I just wanted to let you all know that things are still going good. Mason has become quite okay with his feedings, and has adapted to being attached to the feeding pump most of the day. His body and face has filled out even more (I'll get a picture tomorrow), and he looks 10x healthier than he did last week. He still isn't eating very much, but that was pretty much 1/2 the reason for the feeding tube anyway; so he wouldn't damage his throat. The only drawback is that he has decided he doesn't need to drink anything at all because of his tube, so I have to remember to put lots of water in his tube throughout the day. At least he isn't choking anymore!
We went to clinic yesterday, so they could check Mason's weight and see that he's doing all right. Having gained 3 pounds, he's doing great! So now we get to have the remaining 2 1/2 weeks off, before his Inpatient chemo appointment. We seriously have no appointments; no Radiation, no Oncology, no ENT, no Physical , Occupational, or Feeding therapy. It suddenly feels like a LOT of time on our hands, where before it felt like there wasn't enough time in the day. We're struggling to find things to do with our time (there are only so many things to do in the house). But I see that as a very good thing; it means progress!!
Mason has spent his time making sure his toys feel played with, by scattering them around the house. :o) He also takes good care of his buddies, making sure they get their medicine and have clean clothes. When things get boring, he finally falls asleep:
Anyways, we haven't heard back from MAW about a date for Disney World yet, but I know they are working hard to coordinate everything. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from them!
